Emphasis is placed on working towards potty training and independence skills.   Security and consistency are two things our caregivers provide. We make sure your child receives plenty of attention, with daily routines that include responsive play, reading, and of course diapering. 

Activities for both classes are child initiated and teacher guided. These include adventurous opportunities for outdoor experiences including hiking, animal care and other play fostering cooperation, socialization, self-regulation and tactile experiences. Basic skills such as counting, colors, shapes, and listening skills are naturally incorporated into the daily experiences. 

The Pinecones class is more structured as we prepare our older children for kindergarten.  We have a stronger focus on pre-kindergarten skills such as number and letter recognition, basic writing skills, listening comprehension, problem solving, conflict resolution and continued independence skills.
